Sound Bridges

Sound bridges are audible transitions from one scene to another. Using a sound bridge can be a really creative way of transitioning from one scene to another, e.g. in 'The Matrix' there is a scene where the music from the club transitions into the sound of an alarm clock smoothly. Sound bridges aren't always noticeable within the movie but they do help immensely with immersion and cohesion.
